This is a project I made in collaboration with Emil Hagström who made the model, which I then rigged using my Auto Rigger script.
My original idea behind this project was to explore Motion Matching and learn how it works. I managed to get it to work using premade animations I exported from a project template called “Lyra” and applying them to the Quinn Skeleton.
However when I tried to use the same method of Motion Matching on my rig it did not work as expected, and I could not get it to work in a timely fashion, so I pivoted to a root motion based locomotion project.
The locomotion was planned to be more advanced than what it is now with Start, Stop and Pivot animations, however I could not get the stop animations to play in a way which I found pleasing and due to time constraints I was unable to spend as much time fixing it as I felt was needed.
Now it is simply a 8 directional locomotion project with added draw, aim, shoot and holster animations.
